Party. Bring a covered dish. 12:00PM 'til closing, Churchville Recreation Center.

GENERAL CLUB NEWS...

Gene Clark and the Cessna Skylane 182

Steve Snyder, President, opened the meeting at 7:00 PM. The minutes are as follows:

  1. Plans for the Christmas party were finalized. It will be Sunday, Dec 5, 12:00PM until...at the Churchville Rec Center. Joe Nixon will pick up a lunch meat platter and Jim Snyder will bring the sodas and ice. Everyone else is asked to bring a side dish.
  2. Tom Moyer gave out handouts describing his proposal for the Combat Fly-In planned for May 5th 2005. Discussions centered on possible airplanes. Steve and Jim described their proposal to build some planes from plans they had just acquired. They plan to use simple building techniques with plywood silhouettes covered with foam which could be easily sanded to shape. They are considering selling some to other members for costs. Hopefully, they will have a prototype by January. Tom raised the issue of prizes for the competition. Jim suggested that the Club allow $100 for prizes and Tom can determine how he proposes to allocate the money.
  3.

    Paul Coleman and the Decathalon

SHOW AND TELL ...

Steve and Jim Snyder and the B-25 Bomber

Snyder and Son-Wright Bros Airplane Fabrication and Bicycle Repair Shop brought in their B-25 bomber for exhibit and progress report. They are demonstrating outstanding craftsmanship on what is sure to be one of the finest RC models to come out of this Club. We wait with great anticipation the completion of this plane. It is sure to be a huge event.

Bob Wood discussed a huge 15 ft 4 inch Cub that he's building from a kit made by Cactus Aviation in Germany. He just made some floats for it. It will fly with a 16HP engine. Bob discussed with Steve methods of installing servos for the plane. .

FROM THE PITS...
Jim Snyder delivered the Sig Cavalier which he fabricated for Bob Shrenker...excellent workmanship as are all of Jim's jobs. The plane has a 56 inch span and is powered with an OS 46LA engine.

Gene Clark was flying a Hangar 9, Cessna Skylane 182. It's a good looking plane and a fine flyer. It sports a 96 inch wingspan and is powered by a G-38 engine.

Paul Coleman was flying a Decathalon Goldberg ARF which he bought recently at the Newark, DE flea market. It's an excellent flyer with an 80 inch wing and a 90 2-stroke Supertigre engine.
